Crystal Shatter

A study in rigid body physics and light interaction. The crystal material was built entirely with procedural shaders, achieving realistic caustics and subsurface light dispersion. The shatter sequence was simulated using Blender's rigid body system with custom fracture patterns.

Reference & Concept

Gathering visual references, defining the mood, and establishing the technical requirements for the project.

Blocking & Simulation

Building the scene structure and running initial simulations to validate the physics and timing.

Shading & Lighting

Developing the material networks and lighting rigs to achieve the final cinematic look.

04

Rendering & Compositing

Final render passes and post-processing in the compositor to reach the polished result.
